But, but,. all I need is a replacement knob! HELP! |

Ok, I lied. I don't need one replacement knob, I need 34.
I have an old Pollard Syndrum Quad which I plan on selling very soon. The thing is in near perfect condition but it missing the slide pot knobs. I wanted to get replacements before I put it on ebay.
The ones that came with it became brittle and 30% broke off. I removed the others because it looked stupid to only have some of the sliders. Well, that and everytime I used it it seemed another would crack and fall off.
So the slide pots look like this.
The slide covers that came with it were sort of a funny shape and looked funny with the rest of the unit. I'm hoping to find square metal slides to match the metal switches.
So far I've searched everywhere online and only found one company that has square slide covers -but they are for blade type pots.
Either I'm missing something (perhaps using the wrong search term) or these things just aren't out there. I swear the more I think about it the more I see these knobs everywhere. On amps, keyboards, toasters. They are everywhere! I can't believe I can't find a company that sells JUST the knob replacements.
So I come to you for help in this. Perhaps someone out there knows of a company that sells parts for old moogs or radios.
The size of the post is 2mm x 4mm and 5-6mm tall. The perfect size for the knob itself would be about 1cm wide and about the same tall.
At this point I'll take any colour, in plastic or metal.
This is what the entire unit looks like to give an idea on what could be used.

The first URL is someone I talked with today. Those little guys would work perfect but they are for blade type slides.
On your second URL, the first ones on the pdf are pretty close to what I need but I have to call them to see. They are plastic, but they just might work. Cool. thank's for the tip. |
